The evening of Tuesday, May 7th is the last day to register a team for the 3 on 3. If you have an individual who wants to play, please contact Coach Favel or Coach MacDonald as we are organizing Free Agent teams. The brackets will be finalized Thursday morning. We are planning for local teams to start Friday evening and all teams playing Saturday.

On May 1st, 2024, Box Elder Schools with the Rocky Boy Health Center will be hosting a youth conference for all 7-12th grade students. Below are the topics that will be covered through the day! Mark your calendars for lots of upcoming opportunities to get your kids practicing and competing! The Lady Bears and Bears Basketball teams will be fundraising by hosting skills camps and tournaments through the end of April and May. Upcoming Schedule Information: We have a 1 pm dismissal TOMORROW, Friday, April 19, 2024. There is a K-6 Spring Concert next Tuesday evening at 5pm in the gym - we hope to see you there!

Parents & Guardians: Please remember to come down to conferences tomorrow from 4-7pm! We also will have a Jr High/ High School Concert at 6:30pm tomorrow.

We are pleased to report that the school was thoroughly cleaned and we will resume normal school functions Monday, April 15. There is a regularly scheduled Board meeting on Monday at 5pm.

Public Notice Box Elder Schools Contamination Update Thank you to the Chippewa-Cree Housing Authority and Public Health Department for working with Box Elder Schools after the report of a foreign substance contamination in our building. The school has been in communication with Tribal Departments, Hill County Health Department, Sanitation Department and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality throughout the day. We have identified an isolated area of the school in need of professional cleansing. We have a licensed contractor approved by DEQ scheduled for clean up of the area on Saturday. Once cleaning and retesting is completed, we anticipate a fully operational school on Monday. Specific details on this matter will be provided to the Board of Trustees on Monday, April 15th at 5:00 during our regularly scheduled board meeting. Due to privacy rights, the District will not be providing specific details at this time but rest assured, our Administration team and Supervisors have taken precautionary steps to reopen our building safely on Monday morning. Public Notice Box Elder schools will be closed on Friday, April 12. A foreign substance was found inside the building Thursday afternoon. We will be closing the school to decontaminate the area and monitor additional areas for contamination. Administration will be working with local officials to ensure complete removal of the substance before students and staff return to the facility. Updated Job Opportunities at Box Elder School

Attention all parents of JUNIORS taking the ACT at school today: students were required to turn in their phones, per testing protocol and the test will be going on until at least 2:30pm. The rest of the student body will go home at 1:45 but the juniors will be released after the test is over at 2:30.

Reminders for our upcoming school schedule: TOMORROW, Wednesday, March 27 will be a 1:45 dismissal for all students and staff. There is NO SCHOOL Thursday, March 28 through Monday, April 1. There is a 5th & 6th grade Basketball Jamboree here at Box Elder School on Friday, March 29. We will see everyone back at school Tuesday, April 2, 2024!

Exciting event for next week: Samual One Spot will be at Box Elder Schools Tuesday March 26th from 10:25 - 11:10 to talk to any students who will be 18 by June that are interested in learning about Wildland fire fighting.

TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20 is the ski trip to Showdown for our 7-12 grade students who received and returned their yellow Showdown ski form a few weeks ago. If your student turned in their yellow form, be sure to have them at the school no later than 5:45am TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY) morning. They will need snow pants, their jacket, a hat and gloves. They can bring extra money for snacks if they wish, but a lunch and dessert is provided and we will bring breakfast and extra snacks for the trip. We should be back by 5pm!
