Box Elder schools will be closed on Friday, April 12.
A foreign substance was found inside the building Thursday afternoon. We will be closing the school to decontaminate the area and monitor additional areas for contamination.
Administration will be working with local officials to ensure complete removal of the substance before students and staff return to the facility.

Parents & Guardians - thank you for being flexible with us for conferences! Our final conference of the school year will take place NEXT Wednesday, April 17 from 4-7. A meal will be provided!
There will be a Parent Action Committee Meeting TOMORROW, Tuesday, April 9 in the cafeteria at 6pm. Light refreshments will be served. Come share your ideas!

Due to a high number of illnesses and schedule conflicts we are going to reschedule our parent/teacher conferences from tomorrow, Thursday, April 4th to next week, Thursday, April 11th.

Updated Job Opportunities at Box Elder School
The 5th/6th grade optional basketball practice that was scheduled for 8:00 this morning has been cancelled. See you tomorrow at the jamboree!

Attention all parents of JUNIORS taking the ACT at school today: students were required to turn in their phones, per testing protocol and the test will be going on until at least 2:30pm. The rest of the student body will go home at 1:45 but the juniors will be released after the test is over at 2:30.
Reminders for our upcoming school schedule:
TOMORROW, Wednesday, March 27 will be a 1:45 dismissal for all students and staff.
There is NO SCHOOL Thursday, March 28 through Monday, April 1.
There is a 5th & 6th grade Basketball Jamboree here at Box Elder School on Friday, March 29.

Exciting event for next week:
Samual One Spot will be at Box Elder Schools Tuesday March 26th from 10:25 - 11:10 to talk to any students who will be 18 by June that are interested in learning about Wildland fire fighting.
TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20 is the ski trip to Showdown for our 7-12 grade students who received and returned their yellow Showdown ski form a few weeks ago. If your student turned in their yellow form, be sure to have them at the school no later than 5:45am TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY) morning. They will need snow pants, their jacket, a hat and gloves. They can bring extra money for snacks if they wish, but a lunch and dessert is provided and we will bring breakfast and extra snacks for the trip. We should be back by 5pm!

The State Champs will have a table set up for any monetary donations towards their summer basketball program.
